Storage Conditions
Temperature: Storing THRIVE at a high temperature can significantly increase the speed that calories and vitamins will degrade over time. In the correct storage container, low-moisture foods such as THRIVE can be stored at room temperature or cooler (75 degrees Fahrenheit or lower) and remain nutritious and edible for years. Our stated shelf life assumes that the product will be stored in optimal conditions.
Humidity: The effects of humidity on a closed can are caused by heat and very similar to the effects of high temperature (see above). High humidity can corrode the cans and in some cases even cause the cans to leak. Areas with high humidity can reduce the opened shelf life of the product. As humidity varies with location please use your own discretion to prevent possible sickness from eating spoiled food.
Damaged Container: Minor dents in the center of the can are usually just a cosmetic issue. However, a can that has been dented near or on a seam can have a compromised air-tight seal and allow oxygen to enter the can. If this is the case we recommend using the dented can within the specified opened shelf life, rather than closed.
The best way to maintain the highest quality of your THRIVE products is to take care of them. If you intend on storing your food for the sealed shelf life, store the cans in a place that is not open to elements such as water, light, and air. Take care of it. Don't expose it unnecessarily to the elements. Also, be sure to keep the temperature and humidity low and even. Under these proper storing situations your THRIVE will maintain its delicious taste, natural coloring, and proper nutrients.

Terrific Staple
I like Campbell's Vegetable Soup. I love cooking, and love making soup, but sometimes, I just open a quick can and enjoy a simple can of Campbell's. But it always feels like something's not right about it; it's a little thin.
1 teaspoon of Thrive tomato powder. Wow, what a difference. So much more flavourful!
It's endlessly practical, this stuff. I love having tomato in a powder form. It's so incredibly convenient.Quality

A staple in my pantry
I love this product, it might be my favourite of the Thrive foods!
I have to be mindful of my sodium intake due to health concerns, but love using tomato sauces in a lot of dishes I make. This tomato powder has NO added sodium and the taste is fantastic - bold and rich, almost like sundried tomatoes. I have used this in casseroles, soups, and pasta sauces and now consider it a staple in my pantry. Highly recommended!Quality

Easy as can be and good! This definitely has my vote along with my family's.
Easy as can be and good! I didn't have enough canned tomato sauce to finish making dinner and had ordered a pantry size can of the powder to try. I added some water and whisked it together and BAM, I had instant paste. I added more water and turned it into sauce. It tasted and smelled just like the canned stuff! Yummy. This definitely has my vote along with my family's.

Great tomato product!
You may want to "play" with the ratio of powder to water to get just the right consistency and taste for your palate. But, it lends itself to almost any type of recipe including wonderful spaghetti sauce by adding some EVOO, Italian spices and garlic to taste and voila! A wonderful, thick, rich marinara or pomodoro. I will be using this a bunch!!

Great Price & Very Versatile!
I add 1/4 Cup powder to 2 1/4 C water to make tomato sauce.
(compare to 1 3/4 Cups [15 oz can] store tomato sauce).
One #10 can tomato powder makes
= 110.25 cups of tomato sauce (or more if you like it thinner)
= or 63 15oz. cans of store sauce (think of the space you're saving!)
One #10 can of Tomato powder costs 31.69 or, $0.50/can! AND it's good for 8 years on the shelf (1 yr. opened).
Nutritional value is amazing! This is a MUST for any pantry and is perfect for any recipe that calls for tomato paste/sauce (soups, pastas, pizza, etc.)
I just used it for a party last night in a mexican soup (using instant black beans, ckn, corn) -- everyone loves it!Quality

Good tomato flavor
The tomato powder is very versatile. You can make paste, sauce, use as tomato soup base and it is very flavorful. I found I need to use a little more powder than the can stated for the taste I preferred. Not bitter at all and I didn't have to add any sugar like I usually do to the canned paste. Works best of you reconstitute prior to adding to recipe (like spaghetti sauce). Next will try making pizza sauce!

I use it a lot but the jury is still out on this product
I use this tomato powder in chili, soups, and spaghetti sauce. It stores well, but I am not so sure it adds much of a tomato taste. I use it to thicken chili more than anything else.

LOVE
LOVE this product! It thickens right up and tastes just like tomato paste (when constituted). I made spaghetti 100% out of food storage using green peppers, onion, ground beef, and tomato powder (and spices). It turned out wonderful.

LOVE
LOVE this product. I made spaghetti using 100% food storage products and it turned out fantastic. The product rehydrates wonderfully. It has the same consistancy as tomato paste (mixed with water) and thickens right up.
