Rehydration Instructions:
Drizzle 1/2 cup cold water over 2 cups cheese and stir continuously until water is incorporated. Store in fridge overnight or for several hours before use.

Storage Conditions
Temperature: Storing THRIVE at a high temperature can significantly increase the speed that calories and vitamins will degrade over time. In the correct storage container, low-moisture foods such as THRIVE can be stored at room temperature or cooler (75 degrees Fahrenheit or lower) and remain nutritious and edible for years. Our stated shelf life assumes that the product will be stored in optimal conditions.
Humidity: The effects of humidity on a closed can are caused by heat and very similar to the effects of high temperature (see above). High humidity can corrode the cans and in some cases even cause the cans to leak. Areas with high humidity can reduce the opened shelf life of the product. As humidity varies with location please use your own discretion to prevent possible sickness from eating spoiled food.
Damaged Container: Minor dents in the center of the can are usually just a cosmetic issue. However, a can that has been dented near or on a seam can have a compromised air-tight seal and allow oxygen to enter the can. If this is the case we recommend using the dented can within the specified opened shelf life, rather than closed.
The best way to maintain the highest quality of your THRIVE products is to take care of them. If you intend on storing your food for the sealed shelf life, store the cans in a place that is not open to elements such as water, light, and air. Take care of it. Don't expose it unnecessarily to the elements. Also, be sure to keep the temperature and humidity low and even. Under these proper storing situations your THRIVE will maintain its delicious taste, natural coloring, and proper nutrients.

Tastes like fresh cheese
This cheese is the real thing and tastes like it. I can think of many good uses: melted on veggies, in soups, in pasta cheese sauce, with eggs, cheese ball, etc. it is a good source of protein and fat. When I reconstituted it, it was a wet clump and that was a little off-putting, but after draining off the excess water it was fine and tasted great. I'll have to practice reconstituting it right.

Great product, but cheese is Sharp Cheddar
This is a great product, but the cheese is a sharp cheese so expect some bite to it. Reconstitutes well and melts well. If your kids are used to mild cheddar- they might not like it.

WARNING....Don't try this product if you're dieting! You'll never be able to stop eating it!
In a word, this product is AWESOME!!! I've never been moved to write a review before but this is too good not to recommend! It has more flavor and mouth-watering taste than even traditional store-bought cheddars. In fact, it is the BEST I've had in years! Sharp cheddars sometimes have a bitter after taste. Not this one! It just leaves you wanting more! I agree with the review above draining the excess waterr. I overlooked a little water at the bottom of the bowl and it caused a little melting. I'll know better next time...nontheless, it was really delicious! 5 STARS FOR SURE...ENJOY!!!Quality

I wish you come out with nondairy products, like tofu cheeses and such for milks and yogurts. some of us are allergic to dairy. not the just have a bellyache problem..but blisters and rashes, trouble breathing kind of allergy. thank you for listening.

Try reconstituting your cheese with a spray bottle. Spritz, fluff with a fork, spritz again as needed and chill. Yum!

Surprised
I was surpised by this product. It was great tasting. I was a little unsure of freeze dried cheese, but we use a lot of cheese, so I decided to try it out. It was good. The first time I used it on chili. It was very flavorful. I had some left over. The next day I used it to make grilled cheese sandwiches. That was really good. I like how easy it is to have shredded cheese now. No more hand shredding.

perfect for the shelf
This is great to have on hand as shelf food -- won't take up space in the fridge or freezer! The cheese has a very sharp flavor, and is shredded, ready to reconstitute. We've added this to casseroles, eggs and muffins -- it melts nicely! Side note: be sure to use COLD water to reconstitute and don't let it sit too long in the water.

Great product to have on your pantry shelf
The flavor is great. Shredded cheese tends to mold so fast, so this is great to always have shredded cheese (on your shelf that won't mold) to add to any recipe. It really adds flavor to a food storage dish.
